One last point. Many parents ask me if their child must be a bookworm, or become a bookworm, for Read Aloud to succeed. The answer is, "No, bookworms are not expected nor required!" Read Aloud will simply be one of many focal points within your child's formative years. However, I do believe that developing an enjoyable reading habit during these formative years will enhance your child's development on many fronts.
